Definition of Paint Correction

Paint correction is a multi-step machine polishing process that removes a tiny layer of clear coat to level out the surface defects — the swirls, scratches and oxidation that build up over time. Done properly, it leaves the paint looking deeper, glossier and closer to factory than a wax or polish ever could. It’s the step most people skip before a ceramic coat, and it makes a visible difference.

Correction is the right time to add a ceramic coating or paint protection film, because both protect the finish underneath.

2 Step Correction $700

This process removes 80%+ of your swirls and marring. FAQs

Paint Correction is taking a compound and applying it to the entire surface with a Dual Action Polisher, which removes the swirls and marring creating a mirror like finish. Waxing only adds a compound to fill the marring and in 6 months these will return.

What is the difference between Paint Correction and Waxing or Polishing?

The period of paint correction is determined by the vehicle's condition and size and the level of correction required. It can take anywhere from 1 to 3 days. Our professionals will provide a quotation during your meeting, depending on your needs.

How long does the paint correction process take?

While paint correction can remove many defects, it does not remove severe scratches or rock chips. Its primary purpose is to improve the appearance of your vehicle's paint, making it appear as new as possible while maintaining a high level of shine and clarity. Additional treatments, such as touch-ups or paint protection films, may be recommended for more severe damage.
